Nokia 5110 phone screens, wires, Raspberry Pi
P:IG extends from my earlier work SLOOOG, continuing an exploration of the transmutable nature of data as it moves across physical objects and time. Like SLOOOG, it employs Nokia 5110 screens to trace how digital information travels fluidly between physical interfaces.

Where SLOOOG staged transmission, P:IG stages breakdown. Over time, one of the screens ceased to function, leaving a gap in the chain of display. This interruption transforms the work: the loss of both digital information and a physical screen renders the piece partially inoperative, marked by obsolescence. Rather than erasing the work, the failure itself becomes its subject pointing to the fragility of technological icons and the inevitability of their decay.
